2026 marks my 28th year of teaching private piano lessons. My approach is to make learning fun while focusing on what inspires each student. I teach all ages, including adult beginners and those returning to piano after many years. Styles include: classical, jazz and blues, popular music, ragtime, boogie-woogie, improvisation, lead sheet reading, basic composition, and piano skills for singer-songwriters and vocalists. Lessons are offered at my home studio in Sausalito, CA, or virtually.
MUSICAL BACKGROUND
Daughter of the wonderful pianist Professor David E. Bourne, I grew up in Hollywood studying many different styles of music. In my twenties, I began teaching and performing. I moved to Sausalito three years ago and am loving my new Bay Area home.

Adult Lessons
I work with adults of all ages, from complete beginners to continuing students. My oldest student so far is 82! It's never too late to have fun learning piano.
